Masaki Aiba and Shota Watanabe groom rescue dogs affected by Kumamoto earthquake

Masaki Aiba and Snow Man member Shota Watanabe joined forces to groom five rescue dogs affected by the Kumamoto earthquake. The activity, featured on the Nippon TV program ‘Aa!! Minna no Doubutsuen’, aimed to prepare the animals for relocation to new homes through animal welfare organizations in Miyazaki and Nagasaki prefectures.

The grooming session took place at a vocational school in Fukuoka. During the process, the pair worked to soothe the dogs, some of whom exhibited distress or sudden barking due to the trauma of the earthquake. Watanabe, participating in this type of volunteer work for the second time, utilized previous experience to assist with brushing while maintaining a calm atmosphere for the animals.
