The second annual international summer school, ‘Digital Battlefields: Cyber and Information Warfare under International Law’, was held at the Faculty of Law, Masaryk University. Organized by the Center for International Humanitarian and Operational Law (CIHOL), the program brought together international students and legal experts to address the evolving security challenges of the digital space.

Key topics included the application of international law to cyberattacks, the boundaries of state sovereignty in cyberspace, and the rules governing information warfare. Participants explored complex issues such as the use of force, the right to self-defense in digital environments, and how international humanitarian law applies to cyber operations during armed conflicts.

Experts involved in the program included Martin Faix, Marek Svičevič, and Petr Stejskal from CIHOL, alongside international specialists such as Professor Nicholas Tsagourias from the University of Sheffield and Professor François Delerue from IE University.
