Masashi Nakamura, a 29-year-old former IT engineer, has returned to rural Japan to manage Nakamura Farm, a small Wagyu cattle operation in Satsuma, Kagoshima Prefecture. Nakamura moved to restore his grandparents' aging farm after experiencing the global value of Wagyu beef while working at a meat processing facility in Tasmania.

After working as an IT engineer in Osaka and attempting to study web development in Vancouver, Canada, Nakamura decided to pursue a career in the Wagyu industry. His transition from a digital career to agricultural work was driven by a desire for a quieter lifestyle and a newfound appreciation for the cultural and international significance of Japanese Wagyu beef.
