Masayasu Wakabayashi graduates from ‘School Kakumei!’ after 17 years

Masayasu Wakabayashi, a member of the comedy duo Audrey, has concluded his 17.5-year tenure as a regular performer on the Nippon TV variety program ‘School Kakumei!’. The graduation was marked by a special episode on the 27th, featuring a collection of regular cast members who participated in various challenges to honor his departure.

During the broadcast, Wakabayashi reflected on his career, noting that the program was his first regular television role and that it taught him “everything about variety shows,” including the importance of “silliness.” The episode included segments reviewing memorable moments from his long history on the show and a challenge involving custom figures as a reward.

While Wakabayashi is stepping down, his comedy partner Toshiaki Kasuga will remain a regular on the program. Wakabayashi expressed his gratitude to the staff and cast, stating he intends to continue his work with Kasuga and TAIGA moving forward.
