Masayuki Suzuki celebrates 70th birthday with star-studded Tokyo concert

Singer Masayuki Suzuki celebrated his 70th birthday and 40th anniversary of his solo debut with a special concert at the Tokyo International Forum. The event, part of a 38-performance nationwide tour across 30 cities, drew a capacity crowd of 5,000 fans.

Suzuki performed 23 songs during the nearly three-hour set, featuring several high-profile guest performers. Notable appearances included his sister Kiyomi Suzuki, Ryoko Shinohara, Nagi Shibuya, Airi Suzuki, Rikka Ihara, and Maki Nomiya. A highlight of the evening was a duet with Shinohara performing ‘Canaria,’ a song released as the theme for Shinohara’s recent television drama.

The milestone celebration also coincided with the release of the ‘MARTINI RECORDS COLLECTION,’ a four-disc analog box set featuring his debut album and other works on vinyl.
