Masdar Hilmy reappointed Rector of UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya

Prof. Masdar Hilmy has been officially inaugurated as the Rector of UIN Sunan Ampel (UINSA) Surabaya for the 2026–2030 period. A Professor of Sociology, Hilmy previously served as Rector from 2018 to 2022.

His primary vision, titled ‘UINSA Goes Global’, aims to enhance the university's academic reputation and research ecosystem on both national and international stages. To achieve this, Hilmy plans to implement tactical steps focused on increasing the productivity of faculty research, improving academic citation indices, and establishing research standards that meet international requirements. He emphasized that success depends on the solidarity and participation of the entire academic community to maintain a productive and dignified campus environment.
