Maserati celebrates 100 years of its trident symbol with new Rai 2 docuseries

A new docuseries titled ‘Il Secolo del Tridente’ will air on Rai 2 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Maserati trident symbol. Produced in collaboration with Rai Documentari and EtraLab, the series explores the history of the brand, which traces its origins back to the founding of ‘Società Anonima Officine Alfieri Maserati’ in Bologna in 1914.

The documentary follows a three-stage journey through Bologna, Rome, and Modena. It highlights how Mario Maserati, an art enthusiast, found the inspiration for the iconic trident logo in the Neptune Fountain. The series aims to weave together the history of Maserati's racing victories and grand tourers with the broader context of 20th-century Italian industrial culture.

‘Il Secolo del Tridente’ is scheduled to broadcast on Sundays, October 11, 18, and 25, at 14:00, and will also be available for streaming on Rai Play.
