Maserati certifies first 5000 GT with unique history

Maserati Classiche has issued the first official certificate of authenticity for a Maserati 5000 GT, specifically for chassis 103064. This vehicle features a body designed by Pietro Frua and is one of only 34 units produced between 1959 and 1964.

The car has a unique history, having belonged to a Saudi prince before being seized by Egyptian authorities in 1967. It remained immobilized in a Cairo warehouse for over thirty years, only reappearing in 2000 with just 12,700 kilometers on the odometer. Following its rediscovery, the vehicle underwent a four-year restoration process in Modena.
