Maserati debuts Track Assist technology in Florida

Maserati Corse has unveiled ‘Maserati Project Track Assist by AS. CAR. I’, a new driving assistance system designed specifically for track use rather than daily traffic. Developed in collaboration with the Italian start-up AS. CAR. I, the technology debuted on a Maserati GT2 Stradale at the Motorsports Club of Clubs event in Tampa, Florida.

The system utilizes Active Performance Control (APC) to interface with the vehicle’s braking system, actively managing acceleration and braking. It is intended to help drivers identify optimal braking points, reduce errors, and maintain correct speeds through corners. Maserati states the technology is designed to accompany the driver in learning and refining techniques rather than replacing the pilot.

AS. CAR. I, founded in 2023 and stemming from research at the Politecnico di Milano, will oversee the integration of the proprietary software and algorithms. The technology is scheduled to be integrated into the Master Maserati Driving Experience program starting in 2027.
