Masfout recognized as one of the World’s Best Tourism Villages

Masfout, located in the Hajar Mountains approximately 90 minutes from Ajman City, has been named one of the ‘World’s Best Tourism Villages’ for 2025. The award recognizes rural destinations that promote sustainable tourism while preserving their cultural identity and natural assets.

The region is characterized by rocky mountain slopes, narrow paths, wadis, and green oases. Notable landmarks include Mount Dafta, Mount Leshan, and the White Mountain. The area offers various outdoor activities, such as hiking on ancient community paths and mountain biking through rugged terrain.

Local cultural heritage is highlighted at the Masfout Museum, where guides like Layla Al Kaabi work to connect visitors with the history and traditions of the local community. Due to its higher elevation, Masfout also serves as a seasonal retreat offering more moderate temperatures than the coastal areas.
