Masicka achieves highest 2026 dancehall album debut on Billboard

Jamaican dancehall artist Masicka has achieved the highest-charting dancehall album debut of 2026 on the Billboard Reggae Albums chart. His third studio album, ‘Forever Reign’, released via Def Jam Recordings, debuted at No. 4 on the chart dated August 29, 2026.

This achievement makes Masicka the first male dancehall artist this decade to have his first three studio albums debut in the Top 5 of the Billboard Reggae Albums chart, following the success of ‘438’ (2021) and ‘Generation of Kings’ (2023), both of which peaked at No. 2. The new album surpasses previous 2026 high-charting releases, including The Elovaters’ ‘Shark Belly Motel’ at No. 5 and Vybz Kartel’s ‘God & Time’ at No. 6.

The chart success follows a sold-out headline performance at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn on August 15, marking Masicka’s debut US arena show. The 17-track album features collaborations with artists such as Damian “Jr Gong” Marley, Kraff Gad, Blaqbonez, and Lila Iké.
