In Hindu tradition, observing this fast is believed to fulfill wishes and bring peace, prosperity, and health. Devotees often perform rituals such as Abhishek, using milk, curd, ghee, honey, or Ganges water on the Shivalinga. The Nishita Kaal puja is typically performed during the midnight hours.
