Maskandi musician Scebi Dlamini killed in Richards Bay crash
Popular Maskandi musician Scebi Dlamini, widely known by his stage name Inkosi Yamagcokama, has died following a car accident in Richards Bay, South Africa. The collision occurred on Sunday, August 9, at an intersection opposite Melomed Hospital in KwaZulu-Natal.
KwaZulu-Natal MEC for Transport and Human Settlements Siboniso Duma confirmed the death, noting that Dlamini suffered severe injuries and died at the scene. Two other individuals were transported to the hospital for treatment. The South African Police Service accident unit is currently investigating the cause of the crash.
Dlamini, originally from Msinga, was a prominent figure in the Maskandi music genre, which is a traditional Zulu musical style. His passing has drawn widespread tributes from fans and fellow musicians within the South African music community.
