Maskorama 2026 season premiere features new rules and first elimination

The seventh season of the Norwegian reality competition ‘Maskorama’ has premiered with several structural changes. This year, participants are divided into two groups of four, with the remaining six contestants meeting in the third episode. A significant rule change removes the ‘gong’ feature, which previously allowed the detective panel to save a contestant from elimination; now, one participant will be unmasked in every episode.

In the first episode, the contestants Piraten, Riksløven, Humla, and Pingvinen performed. Pingvinen received the fewest votes and was the first to be eliminated, revealing the dog trainer Maren Rørvik behind the mask. The detective panel has also seen a change, with Leo Ajkic joining returning members Tone Damli and Tete Lidbom, alongside host Silje Nordnes.
