Mason announces new single featuring Steve Overland

The melodic AOR band Mason has announced the release of their new single, ‘This Thing Called Love’, scheduled for release on August 21 or 22. The track features backing vocals from legendary vocalist and songwriter Steve Overland.

The song was originally written between 1987 and 1988 by John McAfee. Marcus Mason noted that after re-recording the digitalized original demo, the band sought Overland to provide the necessary vocal layers to complete the track’s sound.

This single serves as the first release from the band’s upcoming third album, ‘Edge Of Destruction’, which is set to be released on September 25 via Eonian Records.
