Mason Mount Linked with Possible Move to Coventry City

Manchester United midfielder Mason Mount, 27, has been identified as a realistic target for newly promoted Premier League side Coventry City. The speculation centres on a reunion with former Chelsea boss Frank Lampard, who now manages Coventry and gave Mount his Chelsea debut in 2019. Gary McAllister, a Sky Blues legend, said the move is "doable" because of the respect between the pair and Mount's need for regular playing time after an injury‑hit spell that saw him start only 12 league games last season.

McAllister also noted that other former Chelsea players such as Ruben Loftus‑Cheek, Fikayo Tomori and Ben Chilwell have been mentioned as potential signings, suggesting Lampard may use his network to strengthen the squad for its first top‑flight campaign since 2001.
