Mason Rook discusses WWE NXT career and meeting John Cena

WWE NXT performer Mason Rook, also known as Will Kroos, recently discussed his career trajectory and a notable encounter with John Cena. Rook recalled meeting Cena during a WWE tour in Glasgow, where the 17-time World Champion expressed that he was a “huge fan” of Rook’s work in the independent circuit. Rook admitted he initially thought Cena was “winding him up” before realizing the veteran had watched his matches while filming in Budapest.

Addressing his physical appearance following fan criticism, Rook stated that his unique size and look are what initially helped him secure a spot in WWE. While acknowledging he would like to lose some weight, he expressed a desire to rely on the uniqueness that brought him to the promotion. Rook is currently positioned to challenge Grayson Waller for the NXT Championship after a recent three-way match victory against Tony D’Angelo and Saquon Shugars.
