Mason Rook faces prolonged absence from WWE NXT due to medical concerns

WWE NXT superstar Mason Rook may face a prolonged absence from professional wrestling due to an undisclosed medical issue. Rook was originally scheduled to challenge Grayson Waller for the NXT Championship on the September 29 episode of WWE NXT, but was pulled from the match after being deemed not medically cleared to compete.

While Rook initially described the situation as a “speed bump” rather than a “roadblock,” recent reports suggest the absence could be significantly longer than first anticipated. Although WWE and Rook have not publicly disclosed a specific diagnosis, there are concerns that the condition could be serious, potentially sidelining him for a very long period.

The setback occurred shortly after Rook earned a title opportunity by winning a triple threat match on September 15. Following his removal from the scheduled championship bout, WWE replaced the match with an open challenge.
