Masoud Pezeshkian calls for educational reform and human capital investment in Iran

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian emphasized the necessity of educational reform and the importance of human capital during a ceremony for the inauguration of educational and developmental projects. He stated that the nation must reach a level of scientific and defensive capability that deters enemies from aggression, noting that current advancements in technologies such as missile manufacturing reflect Iran's human and scientific capacities.

Pezeshkian argued that education should be viewed as an investment rather than an expense. He criticized the current state of the educational system, asserting that it is unacceptable for children to lack proper facilities or quality instruction. He noted that simply building infrastructure or changing personnel is insufficient if the underlying issue of skill development and management training is not addressed.

To improve school quality, the President proposed the formation of a ‘People's Education Fund,’ suggesting that if every Iranian contributed a portion of their income to education, the best facilities could be provided for all children.
