Mass Brawl Erupts in Pula City Center Over Souvenir Prices
On the evening of 26 July 2026, a verbal dispute over souvenir prices in a shop on Ulica Sergijevaca in Pula, Croatia, escalated into a large physical fight. The clash began between three German and three Croatian nationals, quickly involving additional participants and spilling onto the street. Fists, kicks and objects were used, causing damage to the store and injuries to several people.
Police and emergency services arrived shortly after. Nine people were identified as participants; three of them – two German citizens and one Croatian – were taken to hospital with minor injuries. The Istrian police are conducting a criminal investigation and will file charges for disorderly conduct and public disturbance against all involved.
