Mass General Brigham study links daily multivitamins to slower biological aging

A two‑year study conducted by Mass General Brigham in Boston tracked 958 participants with an average age of about 70. Participants who took a daily multivitamin showed a slower increase in biological age measured by epigenetic clocks, amounting to roughly four months less aging compared with a placebo group. Researchers noted the effect was modest and called for further investigation to confirm long‑term health benefits.

Health experts also highlighted four bedtime habits that may help slow the aging process: maintaining a consistent sleep‑wake schedule, dimming lights in the evening, finishing meals at least one to two hours before sleep, and avoiding alcohol before bed. A large study of 61,000 adults found that regular sleep patterns can cut the risk of early death by up to 48%, underscoring the importance of sleep quality for healthy aging.
