Argentina sends 250‑person Paralympic delegation to 2026 Valledupar Games

The Argentine Paralympic delegation, comprising 250 athletes and officials, was officially sent off at the Centro Nacional de Alto Rendimiento Deportivo (CeNARD) for the 2026 Juegos Parasuramericanos in Valledupar, Colombia (July 5‑15). Subsecretary of Sports Diógenes de Urquiza presented the national flag to flag‑bearers Silvia Linari (wheel‑chair basketball) and Gabriel Copola (table tennis). The delegation will compete in 12 of the 13 scheduled sports, including athletics, boccia, cycling, goalball, swimming, powerlifting, wheelchair tennis, archery and seated volleyball.

Officials from the Ministry of the Interior, the Argentine diplomatic sports office, the Argentine Paralympic Committee and the National Sports Secretariat attended. They highlighted the government's coordination with the private sector and the ENARD to ensure optimal conditions, echoing President Milei’s directives. Committee President Gustavo Borro praised the athletes’ dedication and the state’s support, wishing them success on the road to the 2028 Los Ángeles Games.
