Massa hosts underground photography exhibition at Villa Cuturi

The Federazione Speleologica Toscana is hosting a temporary photography exhibition titled ‘Bellezza e fragilità – Immagini rubate al buio’ (Beauty and Fragility – Images Stolen in the Dark) at Villa Cuturi in Massa. Running from September 21 to October 11, the exhibition showcases underground landscapes captured by speleologists.

The collection aims to bring the hidden world of caves, rock formations, and karst environments to the public eye. Beyond showcasing aesthetic beauty, the exhibition emphasizes the extreme vulnerability of these subterranean ecosystems, highlighting how easily they can be damaged by human activity. The event serves as both an educational tool and an initiative to promote the protection of Tuscany’s underground natural heritage.
