Various Massachusetts-based collegiate athletic teams reported recent competitive results.

In field hockey, MIT secured a 1-0 victory over No. 9 Babson College, snapping Babson's 80-game NEWMAC regular-season winning streak. The decisive goal was scored by Audrey Oh during the third quarter.

In women's soccer, the No. 5 ranked MIT team earned a 1-0 road win against Salve Regina University, marking the Seahawks' first conference loss. Madelyn Popilek scored the winning goal.

MIT's men's soccer team defeated Coast Guard 3-2, overcoming an early deficit to secure the win. In women's volleyball, Kayleigh May recorded her 3,000th career assist as No. 5 MIT swept Salve Regina 3-0.

Separately, the UMass hockey team is preparing for its home-opening series at the Mullins Center following a two-game series against Colorado College.
