Residents such as Marina, who struggles with a leg injury, and Alexandra, who endured ten days without power, described the difficulty of cooking at home and the relief provided by the soup kitchens. Ukraine has said the strikes are intended to "bring the war back home to Russia". Crimea, annexed by Russia in 2014, continues to face limited fuel supplies throughout the summer.
