Massimiliano Allegri suspended for two matches by Serie A
Napoli head coach Massimiliano Allegri has received a two-match suspension and a €10,000 fine following his conduct during the 3-3 draw against Roma. The Serie A disciplinary commission cited Allegri for directing insulting remarks toward match officials during the second half and for displaying a seriously disrespectful attitude and aggressive behavior toward an opposing team official in the dressing rooms.
Allegri was sent off in the closing stages of the match after protesting a goal by Leonardo Balerdi. The coach has denied making insulting remarks, claiming the fourth official provoked his expulsion. Napoli has announced its intention to appeal the decision.
The suspension means Allegri will miss upcoming fixtures against Monza and Juventus. In his absence, assistant coach Marco Landucci is expected to lead the team.
