Massimiliano Allegri poised to become Napoli coach after Milan contract termination

Massimilian Allegri was dismissed by Milan after the club finished fifth in Serie A, but remains under a contract that runs to 2027. A mutual termination with Milan is required before he can sign officially with Napoli. President Aurelio De Laurentiis and sporting director Giovanni Manna have already begun informal planning with the coach, reviewing the squad and summer preparations.

Napoli’s transfer priorities include defender Mario Gila, midfielder Adrien Rabiot and winger Dodò, while the situation of goalkeeper Alex Meret is still under review. Allegri’s agent Giovanni Branchini said, “Fino a prova contraria è un tesserato del Milan, nessun contatto per la risoluzione,” indicating no contact has yet been made with Milan. The club’s official presentation may be delayed until July.
