Massimiliano Allegri set to become Napoli coach pending Milan contract break

Massimiliano Allegri, currently under contract with AC Milan until 2027, is close to being released so he can take over as head coach of SSC Napoli. Discussions between the clubs aim to terminate the remaining year of his Milan agreement, with an official announcement expected by the end of the week.

Napoli have prepared a two‑year contract with an option for a third season, positioning Allegri to lead the team through the upcoming Serie A campaign, the Champions League, the Coppa Italia and the club’s centenary celebrations. A summer training camp is scheduled for 17 July at Dimaro Folgarida, marking the start of Allegri’s potential tenure.

Both clubs are working to finalize the formalities, and once the Milan contract is resolved, Allegri will be free to sign with Napoli and commence his duties for the historic 2024‑25 season.
