Massimo Barbolini appointed to coach Novara in Serie A

Massimo Barbolini is set to return to Serie A to coach Novara for the 2026-2027 season. The 62-year-old coach, who previously served as an assistant to Julio Velasco during major international successes, is returning to Italy following coaching stints in Turkey and the United States.

Barbolini, who has experience coaching Scandicci, Houston, and Galatasaray Istanbul, will begin his first training sessions with Novara on September 9. His appointment follows a period where he served as vice-head coach for the Italian national team.
