Massimo Bergamasco Honored with EuroHaptics Lifetime Achievement Award

Massimo Bergamasco, full professor at the Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna in Pisa, received the Lifetime Achievement Award from EuroHaptics during its 2026 international conference held in Siena, Italy.

The award recognises his pioneering contributions to haptic technologies, including early force‑feedback gloves, wearable exoskeletons for tele‑operation, and the founding of the Perceptual Robotics Laboratory (PERCRO) in 1991. PERCRO has become a leading centre for robotics, haptics, virtual‑reality and augmented‑reality interfaces, laying foundations for modern extended‑reality, telepresence, collaborative robotics and rehabilitation devices.
