Massimo Oddo analyzes Filippo Inzaghi’s playing style

Former Italian international Massimo Oddo has provided a unique analysis of Filippo Inzaghi’s playing style during an appearance on the ‘Rompipallone’ podcast. Oddo, a former teammate who shared titles with Inzaghi at AC Milan and with the Italian national team in 2006, claimed that the striker lacked traditional footballing skills.

Oddo stated that Inzaghi’s success was driven by cunning and intelligence rather than technical ability. He noted that because Inzaghi could not dribble, he relied on running and kicking the ball at opponents' feet, banking on the ball rebounding into his path.

Former Juventus defender Mark Iuliano echoed these sentiments, describing Inzaghi’s uncanny ability to score decisive goals, often in the final minutes of matches, even when he appeared disconnected from the play. Inzaghi, currently the manager of Palermo, is widely recognized for his prolific scoring career at clubs including Juventus and AC Milan.
