Master Boot Record to release ‘Computer Metal’ album on October 30
Italian multi-instrumentalist Vittorio D’Amore, performing as Master Boot Record, will release a new album titled ‘Computer Metal’ on October 30th via Metal Blade Records. The project follows his 2024 release, ‘Hardwarez’.
The upcoming ten-track album was composed using MIDI in Cubase, blending real guitar with synthesizers. D’Amore describes the work as a ‘codex of the genre,’ incorporating various metal styles including hardcore, progressive, thrash, death, and industrial metal.
While ‘Hardwarez’ focused on computer hardware, ‘Computer Metal’ explores the cultural significance and shared memories associated with computing. The lead single, ‘Dot Matrix,’ has already been released for streaming.
