Master P Opens Up on Family Losses and Urges Christian Counseling

In a candid interview on The Breakfast Club, hip‑hop entrepreneur Master P (Percy Miller) discussed the deaths that have shaped his life. He recalled the accidental fentanyl overdose that claimed his daughter Tytyana Miller in May 2022, a loss confirmed by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner, and the 1990 gun‑related killing of his brother Kevin Miller in New Orleans.

Master P described his mother's profound grief, saying she stopped speaking after Kevin’s death, and highlighted the influence of his grandmother Maxine Miller in pulling him away from the streets. Drawing on these experiences, he now advocates for families coping with substance‑abuse or violence, recommending Christian counseling combined with professional help. He also noted his efforts to assist families with burial costs and to raise awareness about the dangers of fentanyl.

The rapper emphasized honest communication between parents and children, urging young people to be open about risky behavior, and framed his ongoing work as a tribute to his late relatives.
