Master Soar wins G2 Shion Stakes to secure Shuka Sho spot

Master Soar secured its first graded stakes victory by winning the G2 Shion Stakes at Nakayama Racecourse on September 6. Ridden by Takaya Ono, the six-to-one longshot won the 2000-meter turf race in 2:03.5, defeating several established horses from the spring classics.

The victory, coming after a six-and-a-half-month hiatus, earns Master Soar a priority entry spot for the G1 Shuka Sho. The horse finished ahead of second-place finisher Something Sweet and third-place Dream Core.

In the same racing event, Flickers Jab won the G2 Centaur Stakes at Hanshin Racecourse, securing a priority spot for the G1 Sprinters Stakes.
