MasterChef Asia set to premiere on HBO Max and Discovery

The revamped reality competition series MasterChef Asia is scheduled to premiere in late September. Produced by Warner Bros. Discovery, CreAsia Studio, and Banijay Rights, the 10-episode series will debut on HBO Max on September 22, followed by broadcasts on TLC and Discovery Channel on September 22 and 23.

Filmed in Macao, the competition features a diverse roster of international culinary talent, including contestants from Vietnam, Australia, Malaysia, Korea, and Macao. The series is judged by culinary masters Edward Lee, “Pam” Pichaya S., and Kelvin Cheung, with guest appearances by various culinary experts.

In partnership with the Macao Government Tourism Office, the challenges will utilize local markets and Michelin-starred restaurants to test the contestants' creativity and adaptability as they compete for the title of MasterChef Asia.
