MasterChef Celebrity: Paula Trapani eliminated amid judging controversy

The Argentine reality show MasterChef Celebrity has seen significant developments following the elimination of journalist Paula Trapani. Trapani was removed from the competition after presenting a red risotto with calamari that judges Germán Martitegui and Damián Betular criticized for being undercooked.

Following her departure, Trapani expressed dissatisfaction with the judging process, claiming she felt “abandoned” during the cooking phase and suggesting that the jury was not entirely fair. She also noted a perceived lack of objectivity and unequal attention given to other contestants.

Despite the controversy, the program continues to lead television ratings in Argentina, recently peaking at 12.3 points. Meanwhile, Telefe has announced the upcoming launch of MasterChef Junior on October 16, 2026. This third edition will be hosted by Verónica Lozano and feature a panel of judges including Martitegui, Maru Botana, and Ian Lucas, with episodes airing simultaneously on Telefe and HBO Max.
