MasterChef Top 6 face restaurant takeover challenge

The Top 6 home cooks on ‘MasterChef’ will face a new challenge in a ‘Restaurant Takeover’ episode airing August 26 on FOX. The contestants will leave the studio kitchen to manage a bistro during a full dinner service.

Judge Tiffany Derry noted that the transition to a professional setting requires the cooks to adapt to a much faster pace while being evaluated by judges Gordon Ramsay, Joe Bastianich, and herself. As the competition nears its finale, Derry expects the contestants to demonstrate increased technical ability and more distinct culinary identities.
