MasterChef Türkiye judges mourn the death of 2021 champion Eren Kaşıkçı

The television program MasterChef Türkiye held a memorial for 2021 champion Eren Kaşıkçı following his death. Kaşıkçı passed away from a heart attack on July 29, 2026, at his home in Istanbul, and was later buried in his hometown of Tokat.

During a recent broadcast, judges Somer Sivrioğlu, Mehmet Yalçınkaya, and Danilo Zanna shared emotional tributes to the late chef. Sivrioğlu described Kaşıkçı as a dear friend known for his integrity, while Yalçınkaya highlighted his kind and helpful nature. Sivrioğlu also announced that Kaşıkçı’s daughter, Maya, would be under their care.
