MasterChef Turkey premieres 2026 season on TV8

Turkey’s flagship cooking competition, MasterChef Türkiye, returns for its 2026 season. The first episode airs tonight at 20:00 on TV8, featuring the familiar judging panel of Mehmet Yalçınkaya, Danilo Zanna and Somer Sivrioğlu. The promotional trailer highlights contestants from across the country – from Hatay to Rize – as well as international hopefuls from Canada and Switzerland, emphasizing a mix of regional and global culinary talent.

During the premiere, chef Mehmet Yalçınkaya shared a historical anecdote about the Ottoman palace kitchen, explaining why “Bolulu” (flour‑rich) chefs were historically preferred for royal service.
