Nicholas Galitzine bulks up for He‑Man in “Masters of the Universe” film
British actor Nicholas Galitzine disclosed that he ate up to 5,000 calories a day and spent months in intensive weight‑training to portray Prince Adam/He‑Man in the live‑action ‘Masters of the Universe’. He told People magazine, “When I first tried on the costume, I felt like a fraud,” and questioned director Travis Knight about the casting.
Galitzine worked with LA fitness trainer Jason Walsh, who emphasized basic lifts and isometric holds to add He‑Man‑level bulk in under three months. Walsh noted that Galitzine “listened to my wisdom” and avoided a macho‑only approach.
The film’s New York premiere featured Galitzine alongside Alison Brie and Camila Mendes, with cast members describing the large‑scale production and the emotional weight of completing the project. ‘Masters of the Universe’ is now in theatres worldwide.
