Masters of the Universe film set for June 2026 release

Amazon MGM Studios and Mattel Studios are producing ‘Masters of the Universe’, a live-action sword and sorcery film directed by Travis Knight. Scheduled for release on June 5, 2026, the film has a budget estimated between $170 million and $200 million.

The story follows Adam Glenn, the Crown Prince of Eternia, who is sent to Earth to escape a civil war. Two decades later, he must return to his home planet to reclaim his birthright as He-Man and lead warriors against the forces of Skeletor. The film features an ensemble cast including Nicholas Galitzine, Camila Mendes, Alison Brie, Jared Leto, and Idris Elba.
