Mastini Varese begins 2026/27 season training with 300 fans

Mastini Varese began their 2026/27 season preparations with their first training session at the Acinque Ice Arena. Approximately 300 fans attended the session to support the team under Canadian coach Dave Rich.

The roster has undergone significant changes, featuring thirteen departures and eight new additions. The new players include goalkeeper Tomasello, defenders De Nardin and Taufer, and forwards Crivellari, De Toni, Girardi, Musa, and Lenta. Coach Rich is expected to focus on building team chemistry and a new playing identity during these initial sessions.

The team's upcoming schedule includes a double home commitment this weekend. On Saturday, August 29, they will play a friendly against Valpellice, followed by a match against Canada's Concordia University on Sunday, August 30.
