Matador manuscripts sell for 200,000 kroner at auction
A complete set of original manuscripts from the popular Danish television series ‘Matador’ sold for 200,000 kroner at an online auction held by Bruun Rasmussen. The sale price was double the initial estimate of 80,000 to 100,000 kroner.
Auction specialist Peter Broe noted that such sets are rarely available because actors typically only receive scripts for their specific scenes. The auction also included various costumes and props, such as a floral dress worn by Ghita Nørby in the character Ingeborg Skjern’s eighth episode. Additionally, a collection of newspapers from the series, including a version of ‘Korsbæk Tidende’, sold for 22,000 kroner, nearly tripling its estimated value.
