Matamoros City Council approves land for health and education

The Matamoros City Council, led by Mayor Beto Granados, has approved several measures aimed at improving public health, education, and legal certainty for residents in Tamaulipas.

During the 43rd ordinary session, the council authorized the donation of municipal land in the Roberto Guerra neighborhood to IMSS-Bienestar to support health services. Additionally, land in the Valle de Casa Blanca II subdivision was donated for the construction of the Margarita Maza high school to expand local educational infrastructure.

In the 44th session, the council approved the regularization of a property southeast of the Port of Matamoros. Instructions were also issued to the Municipal Cadastre to regularize the Higerillas Sector Seis human settlement and assign individual cadastral keys to each lot, providing legal security to the residents.
