Matamoros to rehabilitate five intersections on Avenida Pedro Cárdenas

Matamoros Mayor Alberto ‘Beto’ Granados has announced a major infrastructure project to rehabilitate five intersections along Avenida Pedro Cárdenas. The project involves resurfacing more than 16,300 square meters of asphalt to address surface irregularities and undulations in the lanes.

The work will focus on the intersections with Longoria, Solidaridad, del Trabajo, Agapito González, and Marte R. Gómez avenues. This intervention aims to improve traffic circulation and reduce safety risks for more than 540,000 residents, particularly during lane changes.

The announcement was made during the second edition of the Mercadito DIFerente in Mundo Nuevo, an event supporting local entrepreneurs and merchants.
