Matanzas Polyclinic receives ophthalmic equipment donation

The José Luis Dubrocq Sardiñas Polyclinic in Matanzas, Cuba, has received a set of ophthalmic trial lenses to enhance its eye care services. The equipment was donated through the cooperation of religious institutions from Germany and Canada.

Presbyter Dr. Ary Fernández Albán, Rector of the Evangelical Seminary of Theology (SET), delivered the equipment to the clinic's director, Dr. Dunia Álvarez Morales. The acquisition was funded by the Christophorus Evangelical Church in Friedrichshagen, Berlin, and managed by the United Mennonite Church of Toronto, Canada.

The trial lenses are essential tools for conducting visual examinations and prescribing corrective eyewear. This donation aims to strengthen the clinic's optometry and ophthalmology departments, improving the quality of visual health services available to the local population in Matanzas.
