Matías Almeyda rejects crisis claims at Rayados

Matías Almeyda, coach of Rayados, has dismissed claims that his team is in crisis following a period of irregular results in the league. Responding to media criticism, Almeyda pointed out that the team reached the Leagues Cup final only two weeks ago, suggesting that the narrative of a crisis is premature and lacks perspective.

Almeyda expressed frustration with what he described as destructive criticism from the press, noting that while he accepts constructive feedback, the rapid shift from celebrating a final to declaring a crisis is excessive. He emphasized his commitment to his two-year contract, stating he intends to complete his project despite previous rumors linking him to River Plate.

The coach also noted upcoming challenges against top teams like Cruz Azul and Toluca, maintaining that his primary objective remains qualifying for the Liguilla.
