Matelica hosts Roman historical reenactments and Ermal Meta concert

The city of Matelica is hosting a series of cultural events in September, including a historical reenactment and a major musical performance.

From September 9 to 13, the “Matilica Municipium Romanum” event, organized by Pro Matelica APS, will recreate the city’s Roman past. The festivities include historical parades, gladiator combat, chariot races, and educational activities. The program also features culinary experiences at various tabernae and traditional competitions such as grape crushing.

On September 12, singer-songwriter Ermal Meta will perform a free concert in Piazza Enrico Mattei as part of the Sant’Adriano patron saint festivities. Organized by Fondazione Il Vallato, the event will include a large screen in Parco urbano Maria Fiorella Conti for wider viewing. Notably, this year’s concert will feature a dedicated space for deaf attendees, providing Italian Sign Language (LIS) interpretation for both lyrics and music.
