Italy hosts various educational and cultural initiatives
Various educational and cultural initiatives are taking place across Italy. The University of Pisa has reintroduced its 'Giorni delle Matricole' (Freshman Days), offering orientation activities, meetings with professors, and tutors for new students in departments such as Engineering and Medicine. The university also introduced Sybilla, an AI-based virtual assistant, to help students with administrative tasks. Enrollment for the 2026/27 academic year remains open until September 30.
In Asti, a cultural exchange program took place between students from the Beijing Jingshan School and the A. Brofferio Secondary School, fostering intercultural dialogue through music, martial arts, and language lessons. Meanwhile, in Matelica, the new academic year for the University of Adults was presented alongside the reopening of the Family Center and the 'Caffè Sorriso' service for Alzheimer's patients.
Other regional updates include the presentation of 33 new courses for the UNIQUI initiative to promote social aggregation, and the 'Castelli Aperti' circuit in Piedmont, which continues to open historic castles and villas to the public. In Varese, a new operational protocol was introduced to manage gender violence cases in schools through collaboration between local authorities and educational institutions.
