Matera court orders technical census of architectural barriers

A court in Matera has appointed a Technical Consultant (CTU) to conduct a formal census of architectural barriers across seven major city streets. This judicial measure follows a legal dispute initiated by the association Azione Disabili Marziolino ODV after an incident involving one of its members.

The technical assessment will evaluate sidewalks, ramps, and fixed obstacles for compliance with current regulations. The monitoring will focus on Via Leopardi, Via Dante, Via Lazzarera, Viale Parini, Via Petrarca, Via Manzoni, and Via Nazionale. The resulting report will serve as judicial evidence, requiring the local administration to provide technical and legal responses regarding the condition of pedestrian paths.
